Most of our employee satisfaction surveys have shown that "people" issues are more important than issues
of money in job satisfaction. We also know from these surveys that, by and large, most people like their supervisors and the way their
supervisors treat them. However, when there is friction in the employee-supervisor relationship, it can lead to a
voluntary termination of that relationship.
In an online poll ending March 22, 2000, we asked people if they ever had quit their job because of their supervisor. Most hadn't,
but a large minority had.
