I had a female boss who would socialize with the people that worked for her and with others from other business groups. She tried to gig me on my review because one of her friends, who didn't like me, told her I made an error that I hadn't made. I challenged her and was ready to go to the Personnel Dept. over it. She changed my review to my liking. I had also heard that before this female boss of mine became manager, she had sex with a production foreman in an out-of-the-way conference room. This production foreman was friends with a friend of mine, so I'm fairly certain it was true. I was prepared to throw this situation in my boss's face over the review issue, but it turned out not to be necessary.
